Sergio first had yerba maté as a child in Urubamba, Peru. He fondly remembers sharing stories and laughing with people in the town as they would sip and pass the gourd around in a circle. Sergio started Icaro to foster a sense of community through yerba maté.
Adam first had yerba maté in 2010 while touring with his band in Heidelberg, Germany. Exhausted from his first performance of the day, he asked if anyone had something with caffeine. A Spanish bass player from another band handed him a bottle of yerba maté. He immediately felt energized and loved that it was coming from a natural source. Adam started Icaro to share the incredible energy and focus one can get from drinking yerba maté.
